Bright Star

Cold planets revolve around the sun,
Millions of years filled with meaningless churn,
Why do things circle around the sun?
Because they themselves cannot burn,

Heat is not even sun’s fault,
He cannot contain that revolt,
Even if everyone can see the bolt,
Not everyone can feel that jolt,

Everyone is born with a little spark,
All living things got that Nature’s mark,
But neither everyone can really connect the arc,
Nor everyone really has the courage to expel the dark,

Those who can hear the freedom’s message,
Have the will to tear down any cage,
For those who are burning with tremendous rage,
Sky is that ultimate stage,

Dull and dumb always swear by the night,
Being afraid of light,  believing, this is not their fight,
Those who are destined to be considered bright,
Never ever prefer to shine from borrowed light.

Pretty much self-explanatory poem and I don’t need to shed light on something which is already so bright 😉

Contrary to many people’s belief, the universe is full of darkness. Our existence is surrounded by extreme cold and thick darkness. Even though the mighty sun lights up a few million kilometers around him to keep some planets warm, its light is not even akin to a tiny lamp in a dark frigid winter night.

A true meaning of life should be something similar to the sun’s existence amid infinite shrouds of darkness. I am not surprised that the very first batch of intellectual beings on the earth understood that truth and started worshiping the sun. Veds are proof of that.

Adversities are always going to stay. Forces which try to quell you and make you quiet are never going to quit. It is up to you how you want to carry on that tiny little spark given by nature in the form of life. Once in a few thousand years, someone like Krishna, Buddha or Jesus can turn that spark into a raging fire and be able to melt the shackles of stupidity around the people and turn the course of mankind towards brightness.

In the euphoria of democratization and equality we often forget that the true genius ( not talking about academics but someone with exceptional wholesome development ) is like the sun burning from within. That insatiable fire lights up his existence with infinite joy and unabated enthusiasm. So nobody can ever be equal in that sense because most people are dumb and dull, and like to remain that way. In order to acquire brightness, one needs tremendous energy and that is too much to ask from a normal human being. You can democratize the voting right but there is no way that a society can distribute the power voltage each person carries within.

Only thing a normal mortal earthlings can do is to either remain bedazzled beneath the brightness of such a person or someone can avail that benevolent shining light and go find the next step to reach higher.

Billions Of Buffoons

Out of seven billion,
hardly seven have sense,
Out of seven billion,
barely seven have balance,

Listening to the truth,
fools will grow severely tense,
They’ll waste time,
in lame arguments and defense,

They see it all wrong,
and wrong things they enhance,
Fools will falter with blurry vision,
but won’t change the lens,

Sheer stupidity and social media,
what a raunchy romance!
In foolish crusades,
watch all dumb degenerates dance,

If someone wise,
tries to giving them a chance!
These mad masses,
will throw him out of the fence!

Out of seven billion,
to those few with some sense,
Enjoy the circus,
let the fools figure out, their own future tense.

It is easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled. Mark Twain’s above quote catches the gist of human nature.

It’s a miracle that almost seven billion fools are wandering freely on this earth and still the human race has been able to survive. Millions of other species haven’t been so lucky but humans have avoided ( or just little delayed IMHO ) wiping out themselves with their utter foolishness.

So who is a fool in my opinion? Well, the definition applies to but not limited to the following simple characteristics,

– One without common sense

– Who cannot see / understand the obvious

I can expand on these two points by writing many pages with examples but what’s the point 😉 Because the one who understands always understands and those who don’t want to will never do.

People can’t differentiate between wisdom and intellect. And that is a huge mistake. There exist many highly intellectual beings but alas intellect doesn’t guarantee the understanding. Another common misconception is that the conventional education makes people better. For example, in India there are millions of doctors and engineers, but most of them are utter fools when it comes to being superstitious. Highly educated with degrees to flaunt but eventually they exhibit their foolishness in one way or another by worshiping worthless idols and ideas. Even you can look at the highly advanced countries where there is almost 100% literacy. You can engrave the fact that literacy can’t eradicate lunacy of the masses. Gun violence, Drug abuse, LGBTQ, Race, Religion, Politics, Gender / Economic Inequality, Environment etc are not even an issue for a society with just IQ of 10 and a little bit of common sense! But there they are, displaying their dumbness everywhere.

Come on! I was just kidding! It was an April Fool Joke. How can I forget how lovely, honest, brave, intelligent, understanding, beautiful, careful, curious, vigilant, happy, joyful, young, vibrant, welcoming, open and thoughtful all you guys are 😉 Thank you that you keep on posting on social media about how you are spending your each and every moment with so much love & fun. Your family, friends, society and country is so lucky to have such smart and sensible individuals who think of sharing everything with others first!

The one who is not buffoon will understand which one is the real April Fool Joke 😉

Wedded To Weep

I  have  seen  all  sort of  crackpots  and  idiots,
Biggest of them are those who’re tying the knots,

When someone else allows you to kiss your bride,
Where’s  your manhood  and  where’s your pride,

Especially for women, wedding’s like some kind of fanfare,
Their entire life is like some sort of game of truth or dare,

Now image two fools in a long arduous journey together,
Like, blinds trying to climb Everest, utterly oblivious of weather,

Those need to be pitied who waste life looking for soulmate,
Humanity’s  worst  sin is  to  let  such weak genes percolate,

Woman wooed by his wage and man falling for her cleavage,
Now you tell me, what does humanity gain from their lineage?

Now let’s just be rational,  try  to  understand  and  move  on,
The time to keep slaves for sex, shopping and service is gone,

Still if you can’t understand and save yourself from being smitten,
Alleviate  the  loneliness  with  either  dutiful dog  or  cute kitten.

Oscar Wilde once said that marriage is the triumph of imagination over intelligence and second marriage is the triumph of hope over experience. Well, I have nothing against marriage per se, rather I’m in favor of kids learning practically. It’s just that I happen to ( or rather forced to ) attend a wedding this month and now I have to let that resentment go somewhere.

Now let’s look at some of the reasons for people getting married.

1.) Some think that it is a natural process. Answer is, no it is not.

2.) Some fall in love ( a.k.a. nature’s trick for continuation of species ) and like that feeling of excitement to carry on for the rest of the life. Some low IQ people succeed in it ( as they never wake up from the swoon ), but most have a change of heart or mind ( whatever ) after some time ( ranging from a few hours to a few years ).

2.1) Yeh it’s a subclass. Some are infatuated by someone and as people like to keep good things to themselves, what else is better than to tie that person in a wedding bond. And then usually they move on…

3.) Some say it’s their duty as a human as per God’s wish ( written in  scriptures). BIG LOL. I think God is wise enough to hire better ( read smarter and wiser than you ) people to carry out his duties. So dudes, please don’t wilt under imaginary duties LOL.

4.) Social pressure ( especially for Indians ). No explanation needed here that those buckling under such pressure are idiots anyway. When will they be ‘Aatmanirbhar’?. Funny thing is, in this case, not only the decision to marry but their use of reproductive organs is also in parent’s control 😉 A mother in law will keep on taunting “Will you just be playing within yourself or will you be considerate enough to give us someone to play with too!” and then, Ek se mera kya hoga and so on… LOL

5.) People under this class don’t know what they are doing or what’s happening with their life. It’s the class of comatose common people. ‘Kati patang’ kind of people 😉

Am I missing any other category? 😉

Anyway, not all married people are fools and not all singles are wise. So take it easy 😉

Cupid’s Dart

When Cupid throws the dart,
Can’t judge, who plays what part,

Tonight, when we kiss and cuddle,
In vain hope to solve that riddle,

Feels like paying all those lovely dues,
With every touch unraveling new clues,

Warmness we feel, when desire burns,
Excitement we feel, with twists and turns,

Where I’m lost, in your eyes or exploring curves,
Trying to know, how to give what it really deserves,

Tenderest form of temptations is so sweet,
When deepest love, makes lovers so complete,

When a kiss brings lips closer and love starts,
A beautiful expression of two melting hearts!

When Cupid throws the dart,
Can the two loving hearts stay apart?

True sensual pleasure lies somewhere between utter puritanistic platonic idealism and pathologically pervert porn. Besides our normal tendency to classify every sensual encounter into either love or lust creates the huge dilemma. Because most people have been totally brainwashed with love as good and lust as bad kind of nursery rhymes. And the funny thing is that nobody even knows what love is or what lust is in its true meaning. Axiology and theology keep playing ticks on normal people’s minds constantly.

Forget the priest’s preaching about celibacy. Their entire business model depends upon keeping your life miserable by denying any pleasure possible for you. Religions are psychological devices for torture which you wear happily! Look, they try to instill guilt for everything you like to enjoy. Ultimately you will neither be able to enjoy anything spiritually nor sensually. If you are too afraid that a kiss will start a new ‘cycle of lustful KARM‘, then well, you deserve your miserable life with an ‘unfaithful’ partner. 😉

My parting words are for those who have to survive Valentine’s Day by buying chocolates, flowers and cute cards, for partner as well as for paramour(s). God gives you economical, mental and physical strength for the ultimate balancing act. 😉

Only person who knows the truth about Valentine’s Day is the florist. 😉

Darkness & Depression

Whenever,
In the dark corners of your heart you go,
Daemons possess you,
Making you feel so low,

Will you ever be able to see the light again?,
You don’t know,
Those empty moments are so crushing,
And it feels so raw,

All those words,
Suddenly echoing with advices you never heed,
All those wounds,
Suddenly goes more deep as you start to bleed,

Whenever darkness shrouds your path,
And you know not where will it lead,
A glimmer of hope, is all you need,
A moment of future, as a seed,
A light which can lead,
And a warm heart, forgetting all your past deed.

There is a reason why an unparalleled and deeply philosophical “Geeta” starts with “ArjunVishad Yog“. But not everybody is fortunate enough to have a companion like Krishna to pull him out of it. Or rather I should say, not everybody can be deserving enough like Arjun that Krishna will help. Well, but Krishna, one of the greatest forms of sublimity to ever exist, has left the eternal words for us to learn from.

While I agree that normal human beings are incapable of dealing with too much emotional distress, I have found that most of the problems arise because of our habit of making mountains out of molehill. Besides, most of our uneasiness with existence is derived from raw sensations. Our happiness and sadness is mostly because of our sensory experiences and has nothing to do with the totally incorrect and hackneyed  phrases saying that existence in itself is painful. Even Krishna tries to kicks such nonsense out with very first utterance of advice to Arjun by saying that (क्ष्रुद्रं ह्रदयदौर्बल्यं तयक्त्वोतिष्ठ परन्तप – Geeta – 2.3) it really doesn’t suit the worrier like you, so just get rid of such nonsensical emotional weakness and stand up.

If a person just simply understands that which is gone cannot be brought back and that which is not in our control cannot be controlled, will make most of the worries and anxieties totally unjustified. All the advice from Krishna in “Sankhya Yog” ending with “…शोचितुमर्हसि ” tries to convey that meaning.

In his play Richard-II, Shakespeare has this dialogue, “….Cry woe, destruction, ruin and decay, The worst is death, and death will have his day.” Similar to, जातस्य हि ध्रुवो मृत्युध्रुवं जन्म मृतस्य च… ( Geeta – 2.27 )… Whatever / Whoever is born is destined to die ( or every beginning has an end ) and whatever is gone will come back too ( every dead will be reborn )… Ever wonder why everything is circular / round in nature / Universe ? 😉

So, now you tell me, what’s there to worry? 😉
