Independence With Attitude

If educated people won’t speak out then who else will,
You cowards can stay quiet but I just can’t stay chill,

If capable will cave and simply succumb to the drill,
Who else will show courage to climb this steep hill,

Those who died for you, wasn’t just for the thrill,
Prove, you are special and not just run of the mill,

Love for the land demands, you stand up and pay the bill,
That life is damned, from which lava doesn’t ooze and spill,

If you want, you can do it, but show the nation a strong will,
Be the best and don’t settle for bargain, either it’s all or nil,

Be the ferocious fire, that no one can dare to touch or kill,
That’s the way to earn respect and world will watch your reel.

Some are free because nobody can dare to touch them e.g. lion in jungle can nap anywhere without any worry. And some has got the status of freedom because of other more powerful is gracious enough. Luckily we are living in a time where imperialistic attitudes of nations are fairly restricted due to some factors. Otherwise many nations can lose their freedom overnight.

If we talk specifically about India, then it has never acted as a one nation in history and chances are very less that even in future it ever will. It was a smorgasbord of thousands of different cultures coexisting but still light-years apart in attitudes and probably will remain the same for at least a next thousand years or more. People usually utter some bullshit like, India is a unity in diversity but the reality is different.

Normal Indian person can’t think of any more freedom than just to pee, spit and defecate anywhere. Earlier foreigners used to loot its prosperity and take it away, now our politicians and fraudsters are looting it and putting that stolen wealth away. But hey, at least we can say that we have democratically given that right to loot us instead of someone looting us unwillingly. Another interesting term is ‘Freedom to practice any religion of choice’. In reality that translates to ‘The freedom of being and expressing utter stupidity, bigotry and dumbness in the name of a disease called religion’.

India might have got physical freedom but a real attitude of freedom and independence is still far far away from the majority of people’s tiny subservient minds. In rich and prosperous nations, politicians have got only a couple of tricks to divide the people like race and economic inequality but in India, there are millions of ways to divide people and play with them.

I don’t know whether more literacy is good or bad for India because from 18% literacy rate to almost 80% in the last 70 years hasn’t changed the mindset of the people. Earlier someone needed to try to brainwash the people but now since they can read, they are ‘independently’ numbing their minds via WhatsApp education.

I believe, a strong nation can be defeated in a war but it can never be enslaved. So while saying ‘Happy Independence Day’, people should introspect why the nation lost its independence in the first place. Otherwise, we – sorry not ‘we’ but only those who can understand – know the future of such a nation. India has got independence but let’s hope one day people will be able to break the shell of stupidity and develop the attitude of independence too. 😉

Wedded To Weep

I  have  seen  all  sort of  crackpots  and  idiots,
Biggest of them are those who’re tying the knots,

When someone else allows you to kiss your bride,
Where’s  your manhood  and  where’s your pride,

Especially for women, wedding’s like some kind of fanfare,
Their entire life is like some sort of game of truth or dare,

Now image two fools in a long arduous journey together,
Like, blinds trying to climb Everest, utterly oblivious of weather,

Those need to be pitied who waste life looking for soulmate,
Humanity’s  worst  sin is  to  let  such weak genes percolate,

Woman wooed by his wage and man falling for her cleavage,
Now you tell me, what does humanity gain from their lineage?

Now let’s just be rational,  try  to  understand  and  move  on,
The time to keep slaves for sex, shopping and service is gone,

Still if you can’t understand and save yourself from being smitten,
Alleviate  the  loneliness  with  either  dutiful dog  or  cute kitten.

Oscar Wilde once said that marriage is the triumph of imagination over intelligence and second marriage is the triumph of hope over experience. Well, I have nothing against marriage per se, rather I’m in favor of kids learning practically. It’s just that I happen to ( or rather forced to ) attend a wedding this month and now I have to let that resentment go somewhere.

Now let’s look at some of the reasons for people getting married.

1.) Some think that it is a natural process. Answer is, no it is not.

2.) Some fall in love ( a.k.a. nature’s trick for continuation of species ) and like that feeling of excitement to carry on for the rest of the life. Some low IQ people succeed in it ( as they never wake up from the swoon ), but most have a change of heart or mind ( whatever ) after some time ( ranging from a few hours to a few years ).

2.1) Yeh it’s a subclass. Some are infatuated by someone and as people like to keep good things to themselves, what else is better than to tie that person in a wedding bond. And then usually they move on…

3.) Some say it’s their duty as a human as per God’s wish ( written in  scriptures). BIG LOL. I think God is wise enough to hire better ( read smarter and wiser than you ) people to carry out his duties. So dudes, please don’t wilt under imaginary duties LOL.

4.) Social pressure ( especially for Indians ). No explanation needed here that those buckling under such pressure are idiots anyway. When will they be ‘Aatmanirbhar’?. Funny thing is, in this case, not only the decision to marry but their use of reproductive organs is also in parent’s control 😉 A mother in law will keep on taunting “Will you just be playing within yourself or will you be considerate enough to give us someone to play with too!” and then, Ek se mera kya hoga and so on… LOL

5.) People under this class don’t know what they are doing or what’s happening with their life. It’s the class of comatose common people. ‘Kati patang’ kind of people 😉

Am I missing any other category? 😉

Anyway, not all married people are fools and not all singles are wise. So take it easy 😉

The World Is Just A Story

Everybody knows, and still somehow they don’t! Isn’t it funny?! Everybody seems to know some sort of philosophy which tells them that what you see is not really what you get, but still they are not able to grasp the reality! Yes, the reality of reflection. Reflection of your own projections, sometimes you get it back as expected and most of the time, as some kind of distorted, mingled menagerie.

As Krishna describes in Geeta that the one who really knows the essence of the things, remains unperturbed by the circus around. Same as the ‘projection wall’ of the cinema hall remains as it is, even though all sorts of movies are being projected on it. Audience experiences the thrill with mixed emotions of sadness and happiness, but only the ‘projection wall’ seems to know that all this is not real!

That unperturbed and enlightened soul is call Sthitpragnya by Shree Krishna in Geeta. Until and unless you come to know what this cinema is all about and learn to detach yourself from unnecessary role playing, your existence is mere misery.

2020 – A New Dawn

Does  a  change  in calendar  really  make  a  new dawn?
Does it really mean that the deeds of past really gone?!

When  you  really want to start it afresh like  a  newborn,
Only to find that the lines of limitations can’t be redrawn,

You    are    destined   to    be    tired   and    torn,
When   life’s   true   path  has  never  been  shown,

When  you open the eyes  tomorrow  hoping for a new dawn,
Does  it really help to know that the future is still unknown?

All moments are happy for the one sitting on Enlightened throne,
Being  indifferent  to  what  will  stay  and   what  will  be   gone.

A calendar is human invention.  Start of a new day, a new week, a new month, a new year etc are just an illusion but necessary nonetheless to keep tired masses on track with renewed hope.

Time is associated with temporary things. It is important to understand the essence of time in order to escape the tyranny fool’s errands.

If you know the truth, then let’s enjoy the same circus taking place in ‘different time’ and either with same or different participants. 🙂

Who Gets The Fine Life?

Got tired of carrying dead weight of difficult time?
Sages will say, making mistakes is not a crime,
Even doing everything right can turn your dollar into dime,
Life is always fine only for those, who’s stars are aligned!

Who can argue against the fate… 😉
