Friendship

Funny  to   restrict  the  friendship  in  a  band,
With a tiny trinketry totem encircling the hand,

Should  not  call  a  mere  acquaintance the friend,
Don’t  turn a doggy  servitude into friendly legend,

All these friends and followers are castles of beach sand,
Just  a  circus   admiring   you   for   milking  some  trend,

Two   things   you   should    know    more   and   be   the   friend,
One is yourself and the other who rules all the air, water and land.

A fad of friendship bands and calling whoever comes into contact a friend is really ludicrous.  Someone who does as instructed without question, can be a good servant but not a great friend. Man himself is his true friend if he becomes aware and acts for enlightenment of himself.
